Be Creative Artisan

Hi, I hope you have all had a great Easter break?  As most of Be Creative Artisans have working salons we thought it would be nice to ask one of our educators how she has been promoting Easter Holidays to her clients.

Be Creative Artisan - Introducing…….Theresa Bloor

I started in the Beauty Industry 10 years ago after a previous career that involved training and education in retail and financial services.
I ran my own business from day one working from a Salon and also Freelance. I then felt the need a few years ago and had the passion to combine both my previous careers and my current one to be a Beauty and Nail Educator, as I wanted to spread my passion for the beauty industry to others.
Educating for Be Creative means the world to me as the products are so fantastic that they allow the "inner artist to come out and inspire you to achieve so much more " even for a non-artistic person like me!

Theresa loves the Be Creative Paints and Pigments

Theresa has had a great time over the Easter holidays and has told me she has been adding Easter eggs to most of her client’s nails.  As Theresa has told me she saved time before her clients came and designed her eggs on Arabella fantasy forms before, saving lots of time in salon.

Theresa has been very kind to show one of the designs she’s been promoting to her clients.

Theresa has not just shared her design with us, she was happy to share with us her step by steps.  If you would like to join Theresa on one of her classes please check out her class dates at the top of the page.
If you would like your own copy of the steps below Theresa would be happy to send you one. You can find her email details at the top of the page under the Be Creative Educators page.

I hope you have all enjoyed the Easter break with your families and not eaten too many chocolate eggs.  With the schools going back next week we thought you would like to see some designs next week we will be promoting to our customers.  Hopefully the salons will be full of mums needing that little pamper.  If you are inspired by what we show you join us on one of our Be Creative Workshops.
Till next week enjoy the rest of the holiday.

Special Moments
We would like to congratulate one of our educators Sammy Grant.  Sammy has been very busy over the last month and we would like to share with you some of her accomplishments.

Sammy entered the nail companions at Excel last month.  She put two entry’s in for photographic Classic and Photographic Nail Art.  Well I’m very pleased to announce she came first for her entry for Classic and second for her Nail Art entry.  This was not Sammy’s only accomplishment, Sammy’s salon was also voted for Nail Salon of the Year 2013.  Sammy the Team and I would like to congratulate you for all your accomplishments.  Well done x

I asked Sammy if she could share some of her experience with you for when she attended London fashion week.  Even with a busy schedule she was even happier to help.

Well the past year my career as a Nail Artist has had many highlights and special moments. But one of the most recent events I attended was London Fashion week, getting to tame the talons of supermodels was definitely a new experience for me. Covering twenty one shows in three days was intense but I loved every minute of it, I have always watched and followed the shows but to be backstage and being apart of it all was just something else. Each show had between 8 and 28 models each having a bespoke look created by the designer and Lead Artist. If you can imagine over sixty people crammed into a tiny room with hair dryers blasting its a pretty crazy environment. Working for the majority of the time on my knees tucked under chairs and tables whilst Make-up artists and stylists are pulling at the model getting the perfect crisp, clean, finish was sometimes very difficult. I had to deal with a lot of smudged nails and models who don't take the best care of their hands, I always though that models would have perfectly groomed hands and nails but how wrong can you be? As it turns out very. But on a whole if you ever get the chance to be involved in London Fashion Week I would say its a definite must. Truly something I will never forget and I got to work with such a great team. “

Be Creative Artisan - Introducing…….Ute Johnson

I would like to introduce you to one of our very colourful educators Ute Johnson, Be Creative Artisan for Northumberland.

Ute has been a nail technician since 1991; she has worked hard within the beauty sector and gained a wealth of experience. Ute has attended loads of classes and now wants to share her knowledge with you.  Doing nails is still her favourite job.
When Ute learnt about Sam Biddle´s idea of delivering classes for all nail technicians that work alongside all brands, she was fascinated.  In the past, Ute had only attended classes which had been brand lead; all that was taught during the class could only be done with that brand.
Ute explains Sam Biddle classes can be delivered totally free from any brand so that is why I love it - it works with gel as well with acrylic of all brands.  Can you imagine! Isn´t that great!  That’s truly a really innovative concept, I love to help spreading the love of being creative and being a be
creative artisan. Proud and creative! Here we go!

Utes Top Tips:

The chameleon pigments are amazing, they have hidden effects, covering the whole palette from lovely to dramatic- just stunning!
I love to use them for hidden depth effects as well as for highlights and accents in my nail art - the possibilities are just endless!
Give it a try and become creative with be creative!

Ute loves the Gel Paints too.

Check out Utes training date from the tab at the top.  She has plenty of training locations throughout Northumberland.
Hope you’re enjoying our posts, we having a great time spreading the Be Creative love.  Join us next week when we will share some more of our Be Creative Moments
